CUJORIUS ONE Zenon records - Denmark...live. first time in switzerland!

Cujorius One is result of three Copenhagen born and raised guys cooperation. Cujo A. Hora, Barney Jacobs & Nicolas Titti. In their mid twenties. During the last years of their teenage periods they found each other and made music together for fun. Later they turned out to be living the philosophy of "Eat, Sleep, Music" They built the studio "The Front" in Cujo's House, and have been based their for the past years. Here many of their tracks, and side project tracks have been made up. Many problems and obstacles has been placed in the way of the music over the years bankrupt labels, corrupt labels, labels closing, computers breaking down, synths getting stolen, promoters and organizers not paying for gigs, etc. But the show and the party must go on, and Cujorius One will not stop because of things like this slowed down perhabs, but the passion and need for music keeps us going.

I like bending time and space, creating crazy innovative sounds. I'm a psykedelic trance producer from Denmark. Originally born in Vietnam. I have been making music for 8 years now. I have a big passion for the madness in psytrance and have been in projects like Psilow Cowboys and The Dizzy Elf.




JAHBO Parvati Records - Denmark

Jahbo was born as Roelike Bunzendahl in 1981 in a hippie society in the north of Denmark. As a basic member of Parvati Records he started to appear on this label acts like a pioneer in the psytrance scene since it's beginning as well as the confidential person for Giuseppe, and relentless helped building up this special base for the extraordinariness in the music scene.

Working in a music shop in his real life he is always refining his production skills meticulously to define his extraordinary and most definitely recognizable style at his recent state of the art and his tracks basically have this special charme of a tripped out mushroom atmosphere. Morphing soundscapes, wobbling basslines and an immense potion of the right humor spangled with a lot of twisted effects and surrealistic leads are a defined earmark of Jahbo tracks and so he was playing all around the globe on almost all important festivals with his exceptional live gigs and absorbing sets.

He appeared on many releases, mainly on his homelabel in Denmark as well as on leading psytrance labels with the ideology of twisted trippy psytrance, with his solo project Jahbo as well as with the different projects he is also doing, like the most recent appearance on latest Parvati CD, "No strings attached", with Mussy Moody forming Psilo Cowboys. His dj sets are dedicated to the trippers on the dancefloor, and he is able to move it night or daytime with his crispy and of course typical Aarhus styled attitude to send the crowd on his wings of psytrance. He always finds time between working on his debut album and handling his job responsibilities to play on special events around the globe.




VIBRACOUSTIC Shamanelectro...live

Vibracoustic is the psy trance project of swiss producers Manjit Jus & Lukas Hasler, also known as DJs ABN & Hashiva. The live-act was formed in late 2005 with the aim to bring a fresh, new psychedelic sound onto the swiss psytrance scene – music that would explore the many directions and emotions of the various psy styles. Within just a few months Vibracoustic begun to make a name for themselves in the swiss psy trance scene, with gigs all over the country and in Germany.

The creative minds behind Vibracoustic come from international backgrounds and so the young producers felt the need to find a label with a broad worldy view to support them. In the early half of 2006 Vibracoustic was approached by the Bali-based label Shamanelectro (www.shamanelectro.com), a label known for its cutting-edge trance fashion,who were looking to expand beyond fashion into the full-on world of psy-trance. With a strong label backing them, the two young producers began preparing their debut album, “Dark Skies,” released in January 2007.




MEENAKSHI Somatribe

DJane Meenakshi was born 1974 in Switzerland. Already as a young girl she used all her pocket money for buying records. Her first creative contact with vinyls was heating them in the oven creating a holder for the hippy records of her dad. During the years of adolescence she was open for different musical styles like heavy metal (Testament, Anthrax, …), punk (Berurier Noir, New Model Army, …), reggae or the good old sounds of the 60’s (Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground…). Music and dance have always been important to her. For 8 years she was doing classical (south) Indian dance, Bharata Natyam.

Turning more and more to electronically influenced sounds (Young Gods, Orbital, The Orb, …), she got infected with the psychedelic virus during her first techno/trance party in 1993. After visiting many parties for some years, in 2002 she stepped behind the decks and mixer, bought her first psy and progressive trance vinyls.

The mixing became her passion. She used to combine the DJing with organising psychedelic parties (and chaishops) together with the Maya Avatar project (until this group split up) and today with the SomaTribe party label. She dedicates her dj sets to the darker gods of night, playing pushing tunes woven into a mystical atmosphere… Dark, strong, psychedelic, that’s how Meenakshi’s heart beats! She plays the sound that touches and moves her most – taking us on a spherical, fast, hard but sensitive journey into the deepest of our inner self, making us never want to return… ;-)




NYGMA Frakasound

Nygma’s first psy-trance experience, in a small indoor club in 1998, was his life’s turning point – this enlightment turned his passion for psychedelics into obsession. Goa culture is the balance to everyday pressures; release his negative energy and charging the human machine with positive vibrations. To David, the DJ has a definite role as an artist – one who tells his story through musical exploration. The DJ becomes a shaman – one who guides people in cerebral celebration of the senses. More than anything his goal is to satisfy all the craving lunatics.

In 2000, he started his apprenticing on a laptop and a mixing software for the beginning a deep relationship. Realizing that computer-mixing is to DJing what dirty magazines are to making love, he invested in some turntables and mixer on his way to discover new meanings of psygasm. His dance floor story is accompanied by groovy tremors; there is that phat bass line alongside these twisted elements. He strives on playing the right track for the right moment and dedicates significant time to research his fairy-tale -it keeps a fresh and gratifying feel.

His sets can go from anytime between midnight and noon; roller coasting full on sounds in dark and gorgeous crispy morning tunes in light. Any other time during this 12 hour period, he can be found on the dance floor releasing his beast or taming it on the side.




IMOX Somatribe

I bought my first decks and a mixer about 10 years ago after getting infected by the psychedelic virus a few years before. Travelling long and a lot, I found more time since a couple of years for the DJ-thing. After leaving the party label Astral Media I got into the evolving Maya Avatar group and formed a series of small parties. But as it is in life, change is omnipresent and the group split up. Finally me, DJane Meenakshi (my big love) and DJHeinz (a good old friend) created the party label SomaTribe and celebrated our first high times called Purpur Magenta. Finally dreams became true in getting a blast together in full harmony and trust! More to come from SomaTribe.....

My prefered style of bum bum bum bum, ts ts ts ts changed in the years and my mind opened more and more. I do not like the artifical psytrance anymore. I get exited about ambitous, demanding and in my sense psychedelic music. It can be night psy or minimalistic, darker progressive. By chance I came into chillout music as I was asked to create a mix cd for a pr-event with a lounge. My motivation in that was mixing beat to beat to keep a constant flow. It worked out and a new passion was born. Since then I had quite a lot of chillout bookings including Fullmoon Festival. It is different mixing than on the dancefloor as the spectrum of influences is so big. Forme the biggest challenge as a DJ as it is hard to keep the groove! Then another major event took place on the chillout floor: there was a local chillout live act playing, but their brand new sound was minimal techno orientated and the floor war burning like fire - and I could not give the crowd what they needed.....

So I opened my ears and mind and explored what was to explore. Before getting psychedelic, I was into techno/trance an I re-found an old love - techno. The first very very successful minimal sets followed. It is hard finding exigent minimalistic music, but there is ......

Since March 2008 I play for the local Free Free Music label, which is more on the progressive side of trance music. I feel the future to be more on the progressive, minimalistic and downbeat side of life, but my synapses are still open enough for all kind uf rocking frequencies!

Im Winter 2005 startete ich meine ersten Versuche als DJ, und wurde nur nach wenigen Wochen voll und ganz von der Sucht und dem Ergeiz gepackt, einmal erfolgreich herausszukommen. Zuerst übte ich intensiv mit dem Virtual DJ am Computer, der mir von Anfang an ein grosses Verständnis über die Hintergründe des DJ-ing vermittelte.

Nach einiger Zeit langweilte es mich langsam immer mehr, nur wie ein Amateur am PC erfolgreiche Mixes zu machen, und wollte es jetzt ganz wissen, und legte mir dank Mithilfe meiner Familie eine solide Anlage für Zuhause zu. Seither feile ich noch intensiver und noch motivierter an meiner Technik, und an meinem eigenen Style. Denn ich will keiner nachmachen!

Ich will mein eigener Style, mein eigener Weg einschlagen, und so zum Erfolg gelangen, sodass ich irgendwann mal, zu frieden sein kann und auch sagen kann, ich habe mein Ziel erreicht! Mein Style ist Elektronisch aber mehr dunkler Sound. In der Fachsprache lege ich Minimal, Tech-House und Electro auf.

Die Geschichte dazu:

Die Midgardschlange (Weltenschlange) (altnordisch Miðgarðsormr; auch Jormungand, altnordisch: Jörmungandr) ist in der germanischen Mythologie eine die Welt umspannende Seeschlange.
Wie Hel und der Fenriswolf wurde auch sie von Loki gezeugt und gehört damit zu den drei germanischen Weltfeinden. Thor begegnet ihr dreimal, und tritt zweimal an, sie zu vernichten.

Sie ist eine dämonische Riesenschlange, die Tochter der Riesin Angrboda und des Loki.

Ihre Geschwister sind die Todesgöttin Hel und der Fenriswolf. Sie wurde von Odin ihrer Mutter weggenommen und in den Ozean geworfen. Dort sank sie auf den Grund und wuchs dort so lange bis ihr Kopf ihren Schwanz berührte und in diesen reinbiss. So umschließt sie Midgard vollständig.

Sie ist eine Verkörperung des die Landmassen umschlingenden Weltmeeres. Wenn sie sich im Wasser wälzt, verursachen ihre Bewegungen gewaltige Sturmfluten.

So wird im Mythos von Thors Fischzug berichtet, wie er zusammen mit dem widerstrebenden Riesen Hymir hinausrudert, um die Midgardschlange zu erlegen. Zuvor reißt Thor noch einem von Hymirs Stieren den Kopf ab, um ihn als Köder an seine Angelleine zu binden. Nachdem das Monster anbeißt, zieht Thor es aus dem Wasser und will es mit seinem Hammer Mjölnir erschlagen. Hymir jedoch erschrickt beim Anblick der Midgardschlange so sehr, dass er die Leine kappt und sie so entkommen kann. Voll Wut über Hymirs Dummheit erschlägt Thor diesen und kehrt allein ans Ufer zurück. Während seines Aufenthaltes in Utgard trifft Thor die Riesenschlange zum zweiten Mal, wenn auch in verwandelter Form. Dem Gott wird die Aufgabe gestellt, eine Katze zu stemmen, was dieser nicht schaffen kann, da die Katze die verwandelte Midgardschlange ist.

Das dritte und letzte Mal trifft Thor zur Zeit der Ragnarök auf das Untier. Diesmal kann er es töten, stirbt aber kurz darauf selbst an dessen Gifthauch. Im Zuge der Christianisierung Skandinaviens setzte eine Gleichsetzung der Migdardsomr mit dem jüdischen Leviathan ein.
